Check-in menus

One QR code for every type of check-in

Let visitors, event guests and staff choose why they are checking in, then direct them to the form and settings created for that purpose.

Different purposes, one entry point

Use the right check-in form without displaying more QR codes

A single site can have very different check-in requirements. A meeting visitor may need to provide contact details, a reason for visiting and a photo. An event guest may only need a shorter form with relevant custom questions. Staff attendance may require GPS coordinates to help confirm where the check-in occurred.

ScanIn handles these requirements by using separate Locations for the individual configurations, then bringing them together in one Check-in Menu. The person scans one QR code, selects their type of check-in and continues to the appropriate form.

Tailored check-in requirements

Give each person the form they actually need

Each menu option opens its own Location configuration, so fields and settings do not need to be the same.

Visitors attending a meeting

Collect the information needed to identify and contact a business visitor.

  • Name and contact details
  • Reason for visit
  • Visitor photo

Events and functions

Keep the arrival process short while asking questions relevant to the event.

  • Name, email and phone
  • Custom screening questions
  • Event-specific wording

Staff attendance

Use a dedicated staff configuration instead of presenting the visitor form.

  • Staff-specific check-in
  • GPS coordinates where enabled
  • Location-based attendance records

Common questions

Check-in Menu FAQs

What is a Check-in Menu?

A Check-in Menu displays several Location options after a person scans one QR code. Their selection opens the check-in configuration created for that purpose.

Why create multiple Locations at the same address?

Each Location can collect different fields, show different questions and use different settings. This avoids making every person complete one long, generic form.

Do I need a QR code for every Location?

No. The Check-in Menu provides one QR code that directs people to the selected Location configuration.

Can I customise how the menu looks?

Yes. You can specify the menu title, use a custom logo and choose a different colour for each Location button.

Can I change the menu later?

Yes. You can update the selected Locations and their presentation as your check-in requirements change.
